Oh the joy of being a grandmother!!!! My 5 year old grandson is starting school this year, gee, it seems like only yesterday I was holding him for the first time and making sure he had all fingers and toes. The innocence of my Seth is remarkable, when I asked him where he is going to school, his reply was, "Um, down by Taco Bell." In just a few weeks, Seth will be blessed with a new baby brother, asking him the particulars of the expected arrival he knows it all. He tells me that his baby brother will be named Kayden and he will be born at the hospital in Lake St. Louis. Wow, so much for a 5 year old to comprehend, but he catagorizes whats important and whats not so important. While this young man cannot tell you the name of his school, the name of his teacher, or what grade he will be in, he is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to his family and the things thats he has chosen as most important. Never underestimate the knowledge of a 5 year old, they are more observant than most people realize.
