Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

First and foremost, I am not much for watching television. In fact, I watch television by buying television seasons on DVD, but I have a new favorite.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip features Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford (of West Wing fame), Amanda Peet, Steven Weber and D.L. Hughley.

Since NBC said goodbye to The West Wing, studio execs needed to find something smart and dissecting of society to take its place ... hence Studio 60.

The story centers around a Saturday Night Live-type television show and its battles with political humor and network execs.

Those who found The West Wing smart and rivoting will find Studio 60 just as rife with humor and quick-wittedness.

 I give it an A-

Catch Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip Monday's on NBC.

On my iPod right now: "Eli's Coming" by Three Dog Night. Coming up: "Super Freak" by Rick James. (Insert Dave Chapelle joke here).

80's song of the day: "Tonight She Comes" by The Cars. This song was released in 1985 on The Car's Heartbeat City album and has been used in some 80s movies ... I just can't name any at the moment.
