RE:She's a Classic

Well my father Ira Reiken forgot to mention that he restored a car for his daughter (me) when I was 14 or 15 years old I think.  It was a 1961 Thunderbird that was white with black and white interior if I remember correctly.  He restored it for me to drive when I turned 16.  He painted it candy apple red with black and white interior.  It was a beautiful car and he did great work.  I was so excited to be able to drive a car my dad had restored for me, even though I felt like I was driving a tank!  I even had a personalized license plate made that said SO COOL on it. It was a great car and even kept me safe through at least 3 wrecks...one of which I backed into his Suburban pulling out of our garage.  The car stayed in good shape till I totaled it driving home from waitressing at Chicken Mary's on evening.  I was ok but unfortunately the car was not.  All I could think about was my dad's going to kill me!  Well he didn't kill me and still today as you can see restoring old cars is my father's passion and hobby and he still continues to do an amazing job.  Thanks again dad for my car that was "So Cool!"

Love your daughter Jennifer
