OK,  here goes my soapbox.  How in the world did it get to the point that I pay taxes on everything.   I  pay taxes on my income. When I buy a vehicle I pay sales tax, then I pay taxes  on it every year because I own it with money that has already been taxed and I already paid sales tax.    I pay taxes on the land I own every year, I pay taxes on my home that I bought with money that was already taxed. I pay taxes on everything  from milk to shoes to electricity with money that has already been taxed.   So, when is it gonna stop?   Enough is enough.   How did we let it get to this point?    The personal property taX that was due December, 20 is a travesty of what is fair !  I have no input over how much my property's assessed value is..... I have no control over the mil levy that is set.   So, you argue that I have paved roads to drive on, I have police protection, I have public education for my kids...  gimme a break!!!   I pay income tax !!!    So, either I pay tax on my income or I pay tax at the time of a purchase.  I vote for NO MORE TAXES period.   That'll get rid of the money monger politicians,  and maybe the true of heart will then lead the people.. take away the money and  lose the creeps.    OK,  now that my blood is really boiling... I say to myself what can I do?  I sure don't have any answers or I'd be doing it, cause I HATE PAYING TAXES!
